Job Summary:
GPF is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in planning, implementing, and managing supply chain functions while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Planning and Policy Development:

Contribute to the planning and development of supply chain policies and operational plans.

Ensure alignment with relevant legislation and internal policies.
-
Comply with Supply Chain Management (SCM) regulations and guidelines.
2. Quotation and Bid Management:
-
Conduct quotation and bid requests in line with policy and legislation.
-
Evaluate and finalize quotes and bids, ensuring transparency and fairness.

Prepare relevant documents, including score sheets, evaluation reports, purchase orders, and letters of appointment.

Inform the line manager of any irregularities in the quotation and bid process.
3. Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and submit various reports, including:
-
Commitment and exception reports
-
BBBEE targets and reports
-
Service level agreements and contracts
-

Maintain accurate filing and documentation of all SCM processes.

Prepare minutes during meetings and type them promptly.
-
Attend management meetings in the line manager’s absence.
4. Financial and Payment Processing:

Process payment documentation and ensure timely receipt of invoices.

Attach supporting documents (quotes, bids, invoices) to submissions and reports.
-
Provide guidance on supply chain processes to staff members.
5. Teamwork and Collaboration:
-
Perform essential tasks during co-workers’ absence.
-
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth and timely completion of deals.

Mentor and coach junior staff and interns.
-
Contribute to team projects and brainstorming sessions.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
-
Education: Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Public Management, or Business Administration.
-
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a similar role as a Supply Chain Management Officer.

Proficiency in MS Office and relevant databases

Excellent communication and report-writing skills

Financial management and accounting knowledge
