What This Job Is About
The company is looking for an experienced EDI Developer who will work mostly remotely. You’ll help build and manage the systems that let companies safely and automatically exchange business data like orders, invoices, and shipping information. You’ll work with SAP and support key business processes like Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Logistics.

What You’ll Be Doing
Create and manage EDI maps (digital data rules) for customers, suppliers, and 3rd-party logistics (3PL).
Work with teams to understand business needs and improve data exchange processes.
Make sure EDI systems follow company rules and work smoothly.
Test all EDI transactions before they go live.
Fix issues with EDI files and make improvements when needed.
Keep records of your work and follow company standards.
Train other staff in the U.S. or Germany on how to handle EDI issues.
Help connect SAP systems using iDOCs for smooth data transfer.

You Should Have
5 to 10 years of EDI development experience.
Good knowledge of SAP iDOCs and how they work with EDI.
Experience with:

X.12, EDIFACT, and XML formats
File transfer methods: AS2, VAN, FTP, SFTP
Mapping and translation tools for EDI
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

850 – Purchase Order (from customers and to suppliers)
810 – Invoice (sent to customers)
940 – Warehouse Shipping Order
943 – Stock Transfer Shipment Advice
944 – Stock Transfer Receipt Advice
945 – Warehouse Shipping Advice
210 – Freight Details and Invoice
214 – Shipment Status Message
216 – Shipment Pickup Notification
