As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at FNB facilities. Your primary duty will be to protect FNB’s assets, personnel, and infrastructure, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for both employees and clients.
Role Overview
FNB is looking for a qualified and experienced Security Guard to join its security operations team in Randburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing security matters, supervising guards, and maintaining comprehensive safety standards. This role requires a highly responsible, vigilant, and reliable individual who is passionate about security.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and operate CCTV systems, alarm panels, and access control mechanisms.

Conduct routine patrols and inspections to ensure safety on the premises.

Respond to and investigate alarms, security warnings, and emergency situations.

Assist in screening security candidates and training new personnel.

Coordinate the daily activities of both junior and senior security staff.

Issue patrol keys, two-way radios, and other security equipment.

Maintain accurate occurrence books and security logs.

Escort staff, contractors, and visitors through restricted areas as needed.

Manage and allocate tasks for designated security posts.

Adhere to security policies, safety protocols, and risk management procedures.

Report incidents, unusual activities, and system malfunctions to relevant departments.
Qualifications and Experience

PSIRA Grade C Certification (mandatory).

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar security role, preferably within the corporate or financial services sector.

Familiarity with Ziton fire panels and alarm monitoring systems.

Experience with gas and fire detection systems is a plus.

Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
