We are looking for a 1:2:1 Support Assistant to work in an alternative setting, helping Primary and Secondary School students. This program supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may not be in regular schools for reasons like behavior issues, health problems, or other needs.
Work hours are between 9:00-11:30 and 12:00-2:30.
As a 1:2:1 Support Assistant, you will work with one child at a time, helping them with their studies and supporting them with social and behavior challenges. Some jobs may require driving the student to and from the Support Centre, so you will need a full driving license, business insurance, and your own car.
We are looking for people who:
- Are confident working with children
- Have a passion for helping students who face learning challenges
- Know how to build positive relationships
- Can be a patient and encouraging role model
- Are available to start work immediately
A Full Enhanced DBS Certificate (checked on the Up Date Service) is helpful, but we can help you get one if you don’t have it.
