Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Development Officer to join our growing team at Kotak Mahindra in Chennai (remote). The Senior Development Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and managing key business strategies while providing leadership in enhancing communication channels both internally and externally. This position requires a mix of strong development skills and the ability to effectively communicate and lead cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage development initiatives that align with Kotak Mahindra’s business goals.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including senior management, cross-functional teams, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with objectives.
• Foster a collaborative environment that supports the development of innovative solutions to meet business needs.
• Conduct thorough analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
• Take ownership of delivering high-quality software applications and systems on time.
• Ensure that development projects are completed within scope, on schedule, and within budget.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior developers, offering guidance and support to enhance their professional growth.
• Maintain and enhance the documentation of development processes and technical specifications.
• Actively engage in regular communication and reporting on project status, challenges, and progress to senior management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring the development of solutions that meet those needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development or related roles within a fast-paced business environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Experience with modern frameworks, cloud technologies, and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to addressing business challenges.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with banking or financial services industry is a plus.
• Leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing others.
