Motor Service Technician

Job Summary
The Motor Service Technician is responsible for installation, servicing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electric motors and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair AC/DC electric motors
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
Perform overhauling, dismantling, and re-assembling of motors
Check and replace bearings, shafts, windings, and seals
Carry out testing, insulation resistance (IR), and performance checks
Operate lathe machine for shaft correction and machining work
Do motor painting and finishing as per standards
Handle dynamic / weight balancing machine
Attend breakdown calls and site service work
Maintain service reports and job cards
Follow safety rules and company SOPs strictly

Required Skills & Knowledge
Electric motor servicing & maintenance
Electrical wiring and fault analysis
Lathe machine operation
Motor painting & surface finishing
Weight / dynamic balancing operation
Use of hand tools and measuring instruments
Basic knowledge of VFDs and control panels (added advantage)
