PLC Programmer

Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
PLC Programming & Development:
Write, test, and modify PLC programs (ladder logic, structured text, etc.) to control electrical systems and industrial processes.
Design and implement automation solutions using PLC systems and HMI/SCADA.
Integrate PLC systems with other automation equipment such as sensors, actuators, and control panels.
System Design and Installation:
Design electrical control systems and automation solutions tailored to company specifications.
Supervise the installation and commissioning of PLC systems and related equipment.
Perform wiring, control panel setup, and sensor integration.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLC-controlled systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and testing of PLC systems and associated equipment.
Provide troubleshooting and support for any electrical or automation issues that arise during production.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed documentation for all PLC programs, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
Maintain logs of system performance and issues, providing regular updates to supervisors or management.
Develop and provide technical support materials for system operation and maintenance.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with electrical engineers, automation teams, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of PLC systems with other equipment and processes.
Provide technical training and support to other team members or clients.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze system performance and suggest improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and safety.
Stay updated on the latest trends in PLC technology and automation to ensure systems are utilizing the most efficient methods.
