Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Supervise shop-floor operations related to bellows forming, welding, heat treatment, and finishing.

Plan daily production schedules as per work orders and delivery commitments.

Allocate manpower, machines, and materials effectively.

Monitor productivity, cycle time, rejection, and rework.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, drawings, and SOPs.

Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments.

Handle shift activities, attendance, and discipline of operators.

Identify process issues and implement corrective actions.

Ensure safety compliance, PPE usage, and 5S implementation.

Maintain production reports, shift logs, and MIS data.

Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of metallic bellows manufacturing processes.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Experience in handling operators and shop-floor workforce.

Knowledge of production planning, process control, and quality tools.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reports).

Qualification

Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

ITI with strong supervisory experience may also be considered.

Experience

3–8 years of experience in production supervision.

Prior experience in metallic bellows / precision fabrication industry preferred.
