Business Development & Strategy:
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the API sector.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the company’s API portfolio and market share.
Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Lead negotiations and manage the commercial terms of API contracts, partnerships, and agreements.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies, CMO/CDMO partners, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, etc.) to ensure customer requirements are met.
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, focusing on both existing and new business.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives related to the API business.
Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients, showcasing API products and services.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity.
Provide regular updates to senior management on market conditions, potential leads, and performance metrics.
Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for business expansion.
Regulatory and Compliance Awareness:
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices in all business development activities.
Collaborate with regulatory and quality assurance teams to ensure products meet the required specifications and standards.
