Key Responsibilities:

      1.    Community Outreach & Engagement: Identify and engage young women from local communities and newly identified locations for the Allied Ophthalmic Paramedics (AOP) training     program.

      2.    Awareness & Promotion: Conduct community meetings, school visits, and awareness sessions to highlight the benefits of the program and career opportunities in eye care.

      3.    Candidate Identification & Enrolment: Screen potential candidates, guide them through the application process, and assist with documentation.

      4.    Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with local leaders, NGOs, schools, and healthcare workers to strengthen outreach efforts.

      5.    Counselling & Motivation: Address concerns of students and families, encouraging participation and ensuring informed decision-making.

      6.    Follow-up & Retention: Provide continuous support to enrolled candidates, monitor their progress, and implement strategies to minimize dropouts.

      7.    Field Visits & Travel: Willing to travel extensively within assigned areas and newly identified locations to mobilize students effectively.

      8.    Event Coordination: Organize orientation programs, awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities to enhance program visibility.

      9.    Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, potential candidates, and enrolment status, ensuring timely reporting.

      10.   Feedback & Program Enhancement: Gather insights from trainees and community members to refine outreach strategies and improve program effectiveness.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

      •     Graduate in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field (preferred).

      •     Experience in community mobilization, student recruitment, or healthcare outreach.

      •     Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.

      •     Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and adapt to diverse communities.

      •     Passion for social impact and women’s empowerment
