1. Role Overview
The Physics Teacher will facilitate engaging and concept-driven physics lessons for Grades 6–12 and support advanced learners through foundation courses (NTSE / Olympiad / JEE / NEET basic level). The educator is expected to create a stimulating learning environment, foster inquiry-based learning, and ensure strong conceptual understanding.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Teaching & Learning
Deliver well-structured and student-centered physics lessons for Grades 6–12.
Teach Foundation Courses focusing on concept strengthening, problem-solving, and competitive exam readiness.
Use innovative teaching strategies—including experiments, demonstrations, simulations, and digital tools.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and yearly curriculum plans aligned with school standards.
B. Student Development
Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and unit tests to track learning progress.
Provide academic support for high achievers and remedial support for learners who need additional help.
Guide students in science exhibitions, projects, Olympiads, and other competitions.
Encourage scientific thinking, inquiry, and curiosity.
C. Classroom Management
Maintain discipline, safety, and positive classroom culture.
Ensure proper use and safety of laboratory equipment.
Keep updated records of attendance, performance, and student progress reports.
D. Collaboration & Professional Duties
Coordinate with academic coordinators and department heads for curriculum planning.
Attend parent meetings, school events, and professional development workshops.
Support school initiatives, examinations, and administrative tasks when required.
Contribute to interdisciplinary projects and school improvement programs.
3. Required Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physics / Applied Physics.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
Additional certification in Foundation/Competitive Exam teaching is an advantage.
Experience
2–5 years of teaching experience in Grades 6–12 (preferred).
Experience in Foundation Course (JEE/NEET/NTSE/Olympiad) coaching is desirable.
Skills
Strong conceptual understanding of Physics.
Excellent communication and classroom management.
Ability to simplify complex concepts for mixed-ability groups.
Proficiency in digital teaching tools, simulations, and lab experiments.
Passion for mentoring students and fostering academic excellence.
