DESIGNE ENGINEER

📢 POSITION: Design Engineer
Industry: Surgical / Medical Device / Precision Engineering
Location: Vadodara (Manjusar / Savli)

Qualification:

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Additional certification in CAD/CAE, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar will be an added advantage

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

Strong command over 3D modelling & 2D drafting

Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar design tools

Knowledge of surgical/medical instruments design, ergonomics, and precision component development

Experience in creating assemblies, detailed drawings, BOM, GD&T, and tolerance analysis

Understanding of DFM/DFA, material selection (SS 304/316, titanium, plastics), and manufacturing feasibility

Familiarity with ISO 13485, CE standards, documentation, and regulatory compliance (advantage)

Ability to coordinate with production, QA, and R&D teams

Experience:
✔ Minimum 3 to 5 years of continuous experience as a Design Engineer
✔ Preference for candidates having experience in Surgical Instruments / Medical Device Components
✔ Experience in designing high-precision components or medical-grade products will be given priority

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new product designs for surgical/medical instruments

Prepare 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings

Modify/improve existing designs based on feedback from production and QA

Coordinate for prototype development and conduct design validation

Maintain engineering documentation, design records, and BOM

Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards

Work with cross-functional teams to support R&D and customer-specific design requirements

Additional Advantages:

Experience in precision machining design

Knowledge of tool design or fixture design for surgical components

Understanding of clean-room manufacturing requirements
