VMC MACHINE PROGRAMMER

📢 POSITION: VMC Machine Programmer
Industry: Surgical / Medical Device / Precision Engineering
Location: Vadodara (Manjusar / Savli)

Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Tool & Die

Additional qualification or certification in CNC/VMC Programming, CAD/CAM, or MasterCAM is highly preferred

Required Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of VMC Programming (G-code & M-code)

Hands-on experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controllers

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, or similar)

Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance requirements

Knowledge of tool selection, offset setting, fixture design, and machining parameters

Experience in machining precision components, stainless steel, titanium, and medical-grade materials (advantage)

Understanding of 2D & 3D machining operations, surface finishing, and quality control

Experience:
✔ Minimum 3 to 5 years of continuous experience as a VMC Machine Programmer
✔ Preference for candidates having experience in Surgical Instruments / Medical Device / Precision Engineering industries
✔ Must have experience in programming and machining high-precision components

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and optimize VMC programs for precision machining

Set up tools, jigs, fixtures, and prepare the machine for production

Ensure accurate machining as per drawing specifications & tolerances

Modify programs for cycle time reduction and tool life improvement

Coordinate with the design and QC departments for prototype and production batches

Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.)

Maintain records of daily production, program changes, and machine parameters

Ensure safety, machine maintenance, and adherence to company quality standards

Additional Advantages:

Experience in surgical instrument machining

Knowledge of ISO 13485, clean manufacturing, and medical-grade component standards

Ability to work on multi-axis machining (3-axis/4-axis/5-axis)
