Job Title: Safety Officer

About the Role:
WBHO Construction is looking for a qualified Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that all our construction sites follow the highest safety standards, keeping the work environment safe for everyone. Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and enforce safety rules: Make sure health and safety regulations are followed at all construction sites.

Ensure compliance: Make sure all safety laws, rules, and company policies are followed on every site.

Conduct regular inspections: Check sites regularly for safety and identify any risks or hazards.

Develop safety programs: Create and run safety training programs for all workers to ensure everyone understands safety procedures.

Report and investigate incidents: If an accident or incident happens, investigate the cause, report it, and make sure all paperwork is completed correctly.

Keep records: Maintain up-to-date records of all safety-related activities and inspections.

Collaborate with other safety officers: Work with other safety managers and regulatory bodies to ensure safety standards are met.
Key Requirements:

SACPCMP registration: You must be registered with SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions).

Experience: You should have experience as a Safety Officer, ideally in the construction industry.

Knowledge: You need to have strong knowledge of safety rules and procedures.

Communication skills: You should have good communication skills and be able to lead teams.

Independence and teamwork: You should be able to work on your own and as part of a team.

Driver’s license: A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required.
