About the Role

As a Medical Administration Trainee, you will:

Work under the guidance of the Director of Medical Services / Chief Medical Information Officer
Learn how to manage and lead medical services in a hospital
Help improve patient safety and the quality of hospital services
Take part in the training program of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA)
This position is ideal for doctors who want to build a career in hospital leadership and management.

Who Can Apply (About You)

To apply, you must have:

A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), and be registered or eligible to register with the Medical Board of Australia
Completed at least Postgraduate Year 4 (PGY4)
Enrolled in or planning to start the RACMA training program
A strong interest in medical administration, patient safety, and quality improvement
Good communication skills (spoken and written)
Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills
A willingness to learn and grow as a leader in the hospital environment
A commitment to the values and mission of St Vincent’s Health Australia
