Job Overview:

Allegiant is hiring Maintenance Technicians who are FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) technicians. The role involves performing direct maintenance work on aircraft in line with Allegiant Air’s Continuous Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP). Maintenance Technicians will ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft, performing repairs, overhauls, and inspections in accordance with company and FAA guidelines.

Pay Range:
$35.78/hr – $49.52/hr (Base pay depending on experience)

Minimum Requirements:
Education:

High school diploma or GED.
Must hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance in a Part 121, 135, or 145 environment.
Additional Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must pass a Criminal Background Check.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for working with team members and following detailed manuals.
Computer Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Word and Outlook email.

Job Duties:
Aircraft Maintenance:

Perform overhauls, maintenance, and repairs on airframe components, power plants, communication equipment, navigation systems, and related parts as per Allegiant’s policies and FAA standards.
Parts Handling:

Ensure all parts removed from an aircraft are properly tagged according to company procedures.
Work Area and Safety:

Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
Be vigilant for defective or worn parts and unsafe working conditions.
Airworthiness Release:

Complete and sign the Airworthiness Release after work is completed.
Inspector Duties:

May be required to perform inspection duties if qualified, in accordance with the job classification manual.
Paperwork:

Complete all required paperwork in line with FAA and company regulations.
Other Duties:

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers for operating tools and equipment (e.g., drills, welding, chemicals).
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in confined spaces and occasionally sit at a computer for extended periods.
Environmental Exposure:

May work in noisy environments (airports with planes, machinery), and be exposed to extreme temperature changes, wind, and lighting fluctuations.
Personal Protective Gear:

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Shifts:

Must be able to work various shifts and days, including 24-hour situations if required.
Travel:

Some travel may be required for the role.
