We are currently looking for a skilled and responsible Assistant Manager – Housekeeper to help manage and oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of our farm facilities, including guest accommodations and common spaces.

Job Summary

As the Assistant Manager Housekeeper, you will help lead the housekeeping team and ensure all areas of the farm buildings, guest houses, and communal spaces are kept clean, well-organized, and welcoming. You will be responsible for supervising staff, managing cleaning schedules, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.

This is an important role where attention to detail and leadership are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily housekeeping operations on the farm.

• Check and maintain cleanliness in all areas, including:

  • Guest rooms and lodgings.

  • Kitchens and dining areas.

  • Bathrooms and toilets.

  • Common areas and hallways.

  • Offices and storage rooms.

• Guide and manage the housekeeping staff:

  • Assign daily tasks and work schedules.

  • Train new staff on cleaning methods and safety.

  • Monitor work quality and offer feedback.

• Make sure cleaning supplies and tools are available:

  • Track usage and order new supplies when needed.

  • Keep cleaning equipment in good working condition.

• Follow and enforce all health and safety standards:

  • Ensure hygiene rules are followed.

  • Report any maintenance or safety issues.

• Cooperate with other departments to support guest and worker needs.

Who We Are Looking For

We want someone who:

• Has experience working in housekeeping, ideally in a hotel, large home, or farm accommodation setting.

• Can lead a team and assign tasks effectively.

• Is organized, responsible, and pays close attention to small details.

• Can work well both alone and with others.

• Is polite, friendly, and takes pride in doing clean and neat work.

• Understands basic health and safety rules.

• Can use simple housekeeping tools and products correctly.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping (minimum 2 years preferred).

• Leadership or team management experience is an advantage.

• Good spoken English is required.

• Physical fitness – must be able to stand for long periods, lift light equipment, and move between buildings.

• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position, 5-6 days a week.

• Farm environment – may require walking between farmhouses and facilities.

• Uniform or safety gear may be provided.

• On-site accommodation may be available for the right candidate.
